Angie Lee Gryziec – After School Coordinator

Angie Lee is the Wildflower Open Classroom After School Awesomeness Coordinator and Yard Duty Supervisor. She is originally from Pennsylvania and has lived in many exciting places, such as New York City, Vermont, Colorado, Oregon, and various parts of California. Angie Lee came to California for the first time in 2014 and lived in the Santa Cruz Mountains and Central Coastal California. She has lived in Chico since September 2016.

In May of 2007, Angie Lee received her  B.S. in Speech Pathology and Audiology with a concentration in Special Education from Bloomsburg University in Pennsylvania. Upon graduating, she has had many wonderful experiences working with children. Her first professional experience began in 2008, where she was a Speech Therapist in a school for children with Special Needs, age 5-21. In 2010 she began working with Early Intervention, checking children birth through age 3 for developmental delays and helping them get necessary services provided by the state. She has been employed as a nanny to several children over the past 10 years. In 2011, Angie Lee discovered her passion for farming in the Endless Mountains of Pennsylvania. She wanted to share that passion with children. She managed a farm vacation destination where families could take a vacation and learn how to live sustainably, grow food, and care for livestock. She left the mountains of Pennsylvania in 2014 and arrived in the Santa Cruz Mountains where she continued farming and spending time teaching children to grow food. In 2016, Angie Lee worked as Yard Duty at a local school in Butte County and also as a 1:1 in an Autism Support Classroom.
When Angie Lee is not at school, she loves to be outside in nature. Her favorite activities are bicycling, snowboarding, skiing, hiking, gardening, and traveling. She also plays the piano and is learning to play the ukulele.
Angie Lee is excited to be part of the Wildflower Open Classroom Community!
